Black History Month UK 2024

October 1st marks the start of Black History Month in the UK and our theme for the month is 'Celebrating our Changemakers.'

We'll be examining key moments in UK Black history and the people behind them such as Olaudah Equiano and the black abolitionist group, the 'Sons of Africa.' and the Black Civil Rights movements of the 1960s and 1970s.

We'll also be shining a spotlight on the UK's first female Black MP, Diane Abbott, Henry Sylvester Williams, Marion Patrick Jones, Olaudah Equiano, Obi Egbuna, and Stella Thomas.
