Google Doodle celebrates Connie Mark's 95th birthday
On the 21st December 2018, Google Doodle honoured the life and legacy of trailblazer Connie Mark, who served in the women’s branch of the British army in Jamaica during World War II. Later moving from her native Jamaica to England, she became a community activist, promoting Caribbean culture and ensuring that the women and people of colour who contributed to the war effort received equal recognition.
